The Villa

The villa’s design highlights the extraordinary views while taking maximum advantage of the cooling effect of the continuous tradewinds from the east. Each of the 3 spacious bedrooms offers extensive verandah space to create an environment in which indoors and outdoors merge, providing extensive outdoor space shaded from the tropical sun. Breathtaking views are everywhere you turn. The tranquility inspired by the home and the setting is unforgettable to our guests. From the beginning of our design phase, we commited to traditional tropical approaches to cooling: attention to ventilation and shade. Air conditioning in this setting would be a pity; if you feel otherwise, we suggest looking elsewhere. It’s all about savoring the vistas, the breezes and the sounds of the sea.

The Bedrooms

The villa features three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The master suite has a king bed and an adjoining study. The other two bedrooms feature beautiful British colonial canopy queen beds. All beds have mosquito netting. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom featuring showers with Phillipe Starck fixtures. Jalousie doors made in Dominica of native hardwoods open onto the verandah, bringing the beauty of outdoors—and the cooling breezes—in.

Cooking & Dining

If you are a cooking enthusiast, preparation of meals from the multitude of fresh ingredients available on Dominica is a pleasure in our spacious kitchen. The villa is well appointed for the home cook, and your dining pleasure is sure to be enhanced by the glorious vistas in every direction. Several delightful dining destinations are available nearby and in the village, including options to have your meal delivered. Or have us arrange to have one of our local chefs prepare meals at the villa.

Verandahs & Vistas

The villa and its verandahs present vistas which will never be forgotten, looking up the spectacular northeast coast of Dominica to Morne aux Diables and to the dramatic French islands of les Saintes, Guadeloupe and Marie-Galante. Take in the sunset over Dominica’s volcanic tip from our observation tower while enjoying a rum punch. It truly doesn’t get much better than this!

The Pool

One of the most delightful ways to enjoy the villa’s glorious surroundings is from our pool. We commonly use the pool 3 times daily. The view up the coast from the water is absolutely breathtaking! The pool is ideal for an invigorating morning swim or a refreshing dip in the afternoon. Or perhaps the coda to an afternoon at the beach? And what can a hotel never offer ... true privacy!
