Villa Passiflora Rental

The villa rents for $360 USD daily between November 1 and May 31. Minimum rental of the villa is 5 days. Maximum 2 persons per bedroom. For rentals totalling more than $1000, deposit of 50% (or 1 week’s charge, whichever is less) is required at the time of reservation, the balance 28 days prior to occupancy. Rentals of less than $1000 are collected in full at the time of booking. Bookings canceled at least 90 days before the start of the stay will receive a 100% refund. In the event of cancellation within 90 days of scheduled start of stay, the villa will be promptly made available for occupancy. If rented, the originally scheduled renter will receive a 90% refund. Note that the refund policy for our Christmas season is a tighter, as detailed below. Please see TERMS on the right for more on our Cancellation Policy. Credit Card processing fees are frequently non-refundable.

Please note that in addition to direct rental through this site, we rent through several portals, which have somewhat different policies for rental and refund. You will be bound to the details of the policies of the portal you choose for rental. The prices may differ from those we offer directly. Usually, prices are lower with rental direct through us. The villa is not handicapped-accessible, and it is not a safe environment for toddlers. Responsible children are otherwise welcome with the understanding that guests are responsible for any damage occuring during their stay.

The Cottage at Villa Passiflora Rental

The cottage is available at a base rate of $125 USD nightly. Off-season (June-October) 15% discount! We offer 10% off days over 7, one week half-price for every 3 rented!! Minimum stay is 3 nights, though shorter stays will be considered on 5 days notice. A day bed in the living room can sleep a third person, at an additional $20 daily. Please note that rental of the cottage does not include use of the villa’s pool.

Christmas Season

• From December 21-January 4, the villa is available at $450 daily. Minimum rental is 7 nights. The cottage is available for $150 daily. Minimum rental is 5 nights.

• Half payment is required at the time of rental, becoming nonrefundable within 90 days of reservation. The balance of payment is due 90 days prior to occupancy. Cancellation more than 90 days prior to reservation is refunded less one night's rent. Cancellation within 90 days of reservation is 80% refundable only if the dates are filled by another renter.

TRANSPORTATION

Travel to Dominica can be a challenge, and the best ways to get to the island change and evolve.

We are very pleased to share news of the first non-stop flights to Dominica from the United States, on American Airlines out of Miami, begun in December, 2021, Bravo! Frequency of flights varies seasonally.

Dominica has been reached by air through San Juan (Silver/Seaborne), St. Maarten (WinAir, Air Antilles), Antigua (Caribbean Airlines and Winair), Barbados (Caribbean Airlines and InterCaribbean) or Tortola (interCaribbean).

If you are coming through Martinique or Guadeloupe (usually the best route from France), consider the L’Express des Iles ferry to Roseau.

The status of flights (and airlines) serving Dominica tends to change fairly commonly, so consider the above a very tentative starting point.

On the island, most of our guests rent cars. We have received consistently excellent service from Bonus Rentals, working through our friend and neighbour, Lynn Warrington. WE CAUTION AGAINST DRIVING TO THE VILLA IF YOU ARRIVE AFTER DARK AND YOU ARE NOT FAMILIAR WITH DRIVING ON DOMINICA! Lynn can generally pick you at the airport or ferry port, drive you to the villa and provide your car in the morning. We have no financial arrangement with either Bonus or Lynn.

Public transportation is available but limited on the island. It is a reasonable option if your main goal is to chill at the villa, Pointe Baptiste beach and Calibishie (which can be a great option).

OTHER SERVICES

Both yoga classes and massages can be arranged at the villa with Emma Satya MacCallum. Emma has extensive training and experience as a teacher and practitioner in the Caribbean, Europe and India. Her work is exceptional. She is also open to retreats at the villa focused on yoga and healing arts. Please inquire!

A Note on Cancellation
We must be stricter than hotels and large resorts as the scale of our operation is so much smaller. Since travel plans to Dominica aren’t made casually, most of our bookings are made well in advance, especially in the high season. When you reserve, the Villa or the Cottage is held for you and all other inquiries for this time are refused. For this reason, any refund of the contracted payment made prior to cancellation will be based upon our ability to re-rent the reserved time period. If we can re-rent any time of the period saved for you, those funds will be subtracted from your overall price and returned to you. If you have any worries about a possible cancellation due to health concerns or transportation problems, we strongly advise that you purchase travel insurance from a reputable provider.
